A pistol.
Guns are ranged weapons that are used in Zombie Attack to kill zombies. They are bought from the shop, and increase in price with each subsequent purchase. They need to be bought in order, and cannot be skipped regardless of the downgrade in DPS. Head shot kills on zombies and other monsters will cause a red, bloody explosion from the head. Guns have unlimited ammunition, which makes melee obsolete in most situations.
Most gun can be upgraded up to level 3, starting from level 0, with each subsequent level increasing the xp gained and headshot damage by +10%.
Guns are one of the three weapons that can be used to kill zombies (enemies), the others being Knives and certain Power-ups (such as grenades, molotovs and stun grenades). Learn how to use guns at the controls page.
DPS per weapon[]
Since we don't have accurate numbers for damage per weapon, these numbers were calculated on a boss, seeing how much 1 bullet damaged it, since bosses are currently the only enemies in game with accurate health bars. Accuracy was estimated, the pistol was given a basis of 3⭐, and each subsequent weapon was measured comparing back to the pistol. 5⭐= 100% accuracy.
DPS (Damage Per Second) calculations were done using a macro that would hold down the mouse for 1s for automatic weapons, and a macro that would autoclick at 0.005cps for 1s for the semi-automatic weapons, counting the number of bullet holes on the wall after firing, and afterwards multiplying that with the damage per bullet. Each weapon was tested 5 times, since server lag can influence results to a degree. These numbers dont reflect the damage in game flawlessly, since the weapons have varying accuracy and recoil, but will give you a rough idea of the DPS of the individual firearms.
Each weapon has its own headshot multiplier, which tells us how much extra damage the weapon deals upon landing a headshot, which was also considered in the table below. Alongside that, there are also numbers for the headshot damage and multiplier upon reaching level 3 on the weapon, and DPS stats for both level 0 and level 3 headshots - since with the 5⭐accuracy weapons it becomes very easy to land headshots, thus your DPS would be closer to headshot DPS.

*Officially clocked Gatling Laser at around 15.75/sec firerate due to server lags. As the OG creator of this table said, server lag decreases the firerate of all the other guns too. Actual dps would be 393.75 and lvl3 headshots would be 511.875 dps for Gatling Laser in this case, but don't compare these values to other guns since they all have decreased stats as well. 500 dps seems to be the intended regular dps for Gatling Laser.
**The game does not round damage, so for the lvl 3 Thompson, for example, a headshot causes 28.8 dmg (i.e. 1 in 5 hits cause 28 dmg instead of 29).
***While these numbers could be tested some more, Minigun is ~10% faster than Gatling Laser according to my tests.
